It launched in March 2006 and supports entrepreneurs, inventors and small businesses from that first spark of inspiration to successfully launching and developing a business.
Since the launch, over 32,000 entrepreneurs have used the Centre every year.
BIPC servicesThe Centre offers free access to the UK's most comprehensive collection of business and intellectual property databases and publications, including general startup advice, information on funding sources, market research, company data, business news and information on patents, trade marks, registered designs and copyright. Anyone can use the British Library, all you need is a Reader Pass.

DIRECTIONSThe Business & IP Centre is on the first-floor of the British Library, on the right-hand side of the building, opposite the Social Sciences Reading Room.

Travelling to the LibraryBy train and undergroundThe Library is located in the heart of London on Euston Road, close to St Pancras International, King's Cross and Euston.
By busMany services: including 10, 30, 63, 73 and 91.
By carThere is no onsite parking for the public. The nearest car park is NCP in Judd Street, 10 minutes' walk away. Metered parking (08:30-18:30) is available on Ossulston Street (3 spaces only).
By bicycleThere is extensive covered and uncovered cycle parking in the Piazza. The best approach from central London is via Tavistock Place and Cartwright Gardens.
