This workshop is designed to support you as you start or develop your new business and focus on the financial side.  It will give you invaluable insight into financial issues, guidance on how to successfully manage them and a better understanding on how to make a profit.

A basic understanding of sales and marketing is essential to start and sustain your business.  This workshop will show you how to identify who your customers are, what is important to them, how to reach them and keep them coming back.

The Central School of Speech and Drama will show how breathing, posture and articulation helps you make an impact at work; to win pitches, steer meetings and communicate with confidence, presence and power.  If you communicate regularly to audiences of any size – in meetings, presentations, sales or interviews - this course is for you!

Why is voice training important?
Only 7% of communication to an audience is about the words. The Central School of Speech and Drama is a world-class institution with expert practitioners focused on the development of skills in the other 93% – the voice and the body.

Speakers Emily Pollet and Amanda Wright will teach you how to:

Business Rates Revaluation Seminar
 
Centa in partnership with Camden Council have arranged a seminar for businesses in the borough to hear from representatives from the Valuation Office Agency (VOA) and the Council’s Business Rates team to explain how the 2010 business rates revaluation will affect your business, and how you can appeal the process.
 
There will also be a chance to ask questions, find out about available business support, network with other businesses and arrange to meet with advisers from Centa Business Services.
 
Over the next few months Centa will also be provided meeting rooms (on a first come first served basis) for those businesses who would like to meet with their advisors in a central location.
 
Your business must be based in Camden and spaces are limited.
